Price guide

“How much does it cost” is the second most asked question after “which direction should I cycle in”. We specialize in providing you with a fully customised itinerary to meet your activity and budget requirements, so the price will reflect the standard of accommodation you’ve requested and the other activities that you’d selected to do while you’re in Central Otago.

Something to note, we don’t run fully supported tours so the package that you’ll get from us will be significantly cheaper because there is no guide and vehicle following you along the trail. That said, if you feel like you may need some backup then we can provide you with transport options across the trail thanks to the relationships that we have with some of the other transport providers.

Below you’ll find some general price guides:

Bikes

Adult – $40 / day which includes late model bike, helmet, pannier bags, bike light, tool kit with spare tube, pump. Note that these items are provided on every bike.

Children – $30 / day which includes late model bike, helmet, bike light, tool kit with spare tube.

Bags

$10 per 15kg bag per shift.

Average per person,  per day, including bike, accommodation only

Budget – $80 – $90 / day (note that this doesn’t include breakfast and there are cheaper options if you’re prepared to carry a tent and camp)

Standard – $105 – $120 / day

Luxury – $156 – $220 / day

A typical 4 day trip with 3 nights standard trip for 2011

Includes:
– Bus to the trail from Queenstown
– 4 days bike hire
– 4 days bag transport for 1 bag
– 3 nights standard accommodation on the trail (all with breakfast)
– Curling in Naseby
– Pukerangi shuttle and Taieri gorge train to Dunedin

Total: Approximately $550 per person based on twin share. Note, this is indicative pricing only and may be cheaper or more expensive depending on your requirements and selections.
