About us
At Shebikeshebikes, we help people discover the beauty, stories, and connection that come from riding Central Otago’s world-class cycle trails.
We’re a family-run business that’s grown to become one of the most trusted names on the Otago Central Rail Trail, Lake Dunstan Trail, Roxburgh Gorge, and Clutha Gold Trails. Since 2009, we’ve helped tens of thousands of riders explore the region at their own pace, with the right gear, great local advice, and all the logistics taken care of.
On any given day, you might meet anyone of three generations of family that are involved in the business. The core team have been together now for 15+ years, making it the most experienced on the trail as the founders of the other early businesses have long departed.
We provide quality bikes (including e-bikes, kids’ bikes, and accessories), accommodation, on-trail support, luggage and passenger transfers, and fully customisable itineraries, from one-day rides to week-long adventures. As a company we consistently work to drive value to our customers through great value company owned accommodation, large group discounts and family-friendly packages. We believe cycling should be fun and accessible for everyone.
Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends, showing your kids a trail for the first time, or just needing a few days to breathe and move, we’re here to make your journey smooth, memorable, and value filled.
We know these trails inside and out, not just the terrain, but the people, places, and little touches that make all the difference.
Meet the team
Carol Goodlass
The "she" in SheBikesHeBikes
Carol covers finance, HR, and keeping the company true to its values, just what you’d expect from someone with a Ma in Sport Psychology.
Steve Goodlass
The "he" in SheBikesHeBikes
Steve covers IT, Bikes, Vehicles, Accommodation, social media, video production and photography.
Kara Rutherford
Our "conductor"
Office manager really doesn’t capture what Kara brings to the business. She epitomises the “can do” and “can sort” attitude you find in the business and what we provide to our customers. Kara has is been with us from just about the start
Susie Farrell
She who makes it happen
Susie has been with us almost as long as Kara. She is the lead itinerary writer who makes magic happen for people, particularly large groups. She once owned one of our favorite accommodations and when she sold that we snapped her up.
Matthew Noble-Adams
FixItFelix, our lead mechanic
Matt is a nephew who’s been with us for almost ten years now. He’s one of those super capable people who can fix a bike, while having a wide ranging discussion on European history or something equally eclectic. He’s the type of person you want in a jam because he’ll get you going again.
Sue Noble-Adams
Nana Sue
The matriarch who just keeps going. Her energy is relentless and she will entertain with her repost. A talented landscape photographer and do anything type of woman, she personifies the “she” in SheBikesHeBikes as she gets out there on her E-Bike
Moss Goodlass
Moss, Moses, Moth
We’re delighted to have Moss working with us. He’s recently completed a BSc Psych and while deciding what his next steps are, he’s joined the customer service and itinerary team.
All of our children work (or have worked) in the business from the beginning in some capacity. One of the funniest comments from Fynn (eldest) is that 12hrs in a mine as a Fifo is easy compared to washing 50 bikes on a Friday after school.
