Tandems are fun and get along the trail at a fair clip. Before E-Bikes, tandems provided a great solution for adults that were worried about “making it”. Today they’re a fun ride for those looking for something different or who have one back home.
Note: We don’t hire the tandem for the Lake Dunstan Trail as some of the pinch points are just too narrow or tight to safely negotiate with the tandems.

For the younger members who want to participate — This unique recumbent tag-along is fantastic as it drops the height of the rider making for a stable platform. They can pedal when they want or do some “social loafing”. Thanks to the harness system, if they fall asleep they’re perfectly safe and the train keeps rolling.
Note: if you are riding an E-Bike, towing children will have an effect on battery economy. You are responsible for battery management throughout the day.

For the younger members who want to participate — This traditional tag-along provides an option for children that want to participate but you know they won’t make a full day on their own bike or it will be a really long day.
We recommend the IGO before a tag along due to the stability factor. If your child is riding a 20″ bike or below then this is an option. They must be able to ride a bike as balance is required on a tag along.
Note: if you are riding an E-Bike, towing children will have an effect on battery economy. You are responsible for battery management throughout the day.

Tow lead

Call this parental insurance. You know they can make it, but they’re not so sure. With a tow lead you can hook them up and provide some assistance if they start to struggle. Even works for adults.

Pannier bags - 20L per side
From $0 / day
Having some storage “off your back” is great. Nothing worse than getting a sweaty back or a back ache from a lopsided back pack. All our adult bikes come with pannier bag(s) as standard.
Our pannier bags are all “dry bag” style with roll down tops and waterproof. Day trip bikes usually only have 1 per bike but if you want a pair that’s no problem. Multi day trips get a set as standard.
If you need some panniers for your own personal bike then we can hire you a set.
Note:
- In some cases, if you’re towing a tag along on a Small or Medium bike, have a kids seat on, or have multiple children on the GSD then there won’t be any space for pannier bags on that bike. You’ll simply share the load amongst the rest of the group (or wear a back pack).

How do we evolve and innovate?
From day one, we’ve asked: What would we want if it were our ride?
That’s why we were first to bring you:
Low-step comfort bikes that made every start and stop effortless. Bike Hire - FAQ's
No, we will provide you with a helmet. However if you have particular helmet requirements or don't like the thought of wearing a helmet someone else has then bring your own. At the end of each hire, helmets are cleaned with a disinfectant, but they are still general use hire helmets.
No. Bikes are hired on a daily basis with collection from 8:30am and return by 5pm unless you're doing a multi day trip in which case the bike is with you overnight etc.
Each bike comes with puncture repair kit and you need to know how to change a puncture. We can't come to assist you because you might be somewhere remote with no access or a long way away.
Punctures are relatively easy to fix and if you're on a bike trip then you need to have this level of self sufficiency. We've made a great video that walks you through it, even for E-Bikes with their wider rims.
More than likely - our pannier bags have large clips that will attach to a large variety of rail diameters.
Absolutely. If you love your own saddle then bring it. All of our bikes accept saddles with standard rails (which is most saddles except for high end exotic options that have oval rails).
Worst result is that you use one of our saddles, but yours will very likely fit just fine.
That's easy, just bring your own pedals, we can put them on your bike and assist with taken them off at the end. The advantage for you is that the cleats will have the exact tension setting you're used to.
