The number of days you spend on the trail will, to a large extent, depend on budget and your fitness. We'd recommend a minimum of four to five days so that you don't have to rush and can explore some of the off-trail opportunities. There are some great off trail opportunities like curling, single track riding in Naseby, exploring the gold heritage in Poolburn and St Bathans, getting out the back on a 4WD trip, playing some golf on some great little courses, trying your hand at a bit of fly fishing. So, if you're in the area, consider what else you might do.
